Alexander McQueen R.I.P.

Alexander McQueen

If you didn’t hear the news, Alexander McQueen, 40 year-old creative and fabulous British designer was found in his London home. Britain’s ‘Daily Mail’ saysthat he was so depressed over his mother’s recent passing that he decided to take his own life by hanging himself. But his family gave this statement to People, “At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family.” Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this. Although his passing may have a tragic end, Lee Alexander has left the Alexander McQueen name and behind, and his fashions for all of us to love.
Known as a designer to the stars and most famously Lady Gaga he has inspired many others to take a brave and bold new approach to the fashion industry.

If I were to describe Alexander McQueen’s fashions I would say, “future, magic, wonder, chic, feminine, gorgeous, and genius” He had a mystical approach to his clothes that made you realize that there is far more to the fashion industry besides pleats, pins, and needles. Their can be magic in those clothes and it makes you realize that anything is possible. He has definitely been an inspiration to me and I hope that he has inspired the rest of you to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!
