Ever thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours

Ever thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours

“Ever thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours” Most of us may know this quote from Sex and the City the Movie between Carrie and Big whom we all adore. But it was actually said by Ludwig van Beethoven in the third letter to his lover. After reading them I fell in love with him myself. Seeing as we are approaching Valentine’s day it made me think about how little we know about true romance. Sure an expensive dinner to the finest restaurant in town is romantic. But a letter written out of pure passion and desperation to see and hold the love of your life is the simplest, most purely thoughtful thing you could do. It would probably be greatly appreciated… I know I would appreciate it. We are in the age of technology, and fast communication. But it is disappointing to know that some of our more meaningful conversations are through texts, Facebook messages, E-mails, even blogs. I read these letters for the first time and it made me envious of Beethoven’s lover. Some of us just don’t communicate like this anymore, and if you do then great! keep it up! Love is something you shouldn’t be afraid to express. So for those of you who are looking to do something special for Valentine’s day, you may have to look no further than a letter.
